This is a major new release of DISKLIST.
All vendors have permission to destribute this software in every
conceivable way, such as a catalog, BBS, Racks, CD ROM, radio
broadcasting, etc. as long as all of the files are distributed
together. You may also use any text and graphics from the
program, this announcement, and from the documentation in the
promotion of DISKLIST.
Descriptions that you may use for DISKLIST:
DISKLIST - Directory List/Label Producer-39 Formats
DISKLIST produces diskette covers with the directory contents of
5.25 inch, 3.5 inch, and hard disks. DISKLIST reads all sub-
directories. Output can be directed to the printer, screen or a
file. Choose from 39 formats that print from one to six columns
of file names with options to include the date, time and file
size. Select the type of frame lines, either IBM or ASCII.
Prints different or duplicate lists on Avery Laser label sheets.
Prints on disk sleeves on lasers with PCL5.
Printer control codes and commands can be inserted and saved for
laser, ink jet, and dot matrix printers. File names can be
sorted. File names in ZIP, ARC, PAK, ZOO, and LHZ can optionally
be displayed. DISKFLAP holds non-sticky list to 3.5" disks.
Writes directory data to a file to create a multiple file
catalog. Can be run from a batch file without screen display or
keyboard input.
Can print a multiline heading, a title, and/or the disk volume
label on a list.
Many more customizing features such as configure list layout,
shading, multiple filespec selection specifications, 9 date
formats, and laser font downloading.

be run from a floppy. Registration fee is $35 plus $4 s & h.
VISA, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.
The file SAMPLES.III contains examples of some of the 39 DISKLIST
Formats. These can all be printed in the proper fonts and size
on one sheet on a HP LaserJet with the DOS command:
COPY SAMPLES.III PRN
Major Enhancements to DISKLIST Since Version 2.64
1) DISKLIST can SHADE lists on laser printers. Select the shade
density for three areas of the list. SHADE can be toggled ON
or OFF from the control window.
2) Select files from multiple filespecs. For example, you may
select up to 12 filespecs such as *.BAT and *.SYS for a set,
and have 12 named sets which are saved.
3) Print on 5¼ sleeves on the Hewlett Packard LaserJet 4 where
the sleeve guide is not in the center.
4) Stops printing at the end of the sleeve so the list doesn't
continue on next page.
5) Printing multiple labels continues on empty Avery label sheets
from selected starting position, i.e. to print 3 labels
starting at position 6 prints in positions 6, 7, 8 not 6, 1, 2.
6) Print multiple lists on a single sheet of all disk size
formats on a laser printer. Select position like current
Avery selection method using either preset or custom layouts.
7) Position the line where DISKLIST starts printing on Avery
labels up or down.
8) An option to shut off printing at the bottom of Avery laser labels.
9) Process files of PKZIP 204g and process .ARJ files like .ZIP.
10) DISKLIST sets the default directory to the root directory
after it reads a diskette with subdirectories.
11) Although DISKLIST is a DOS program, it can be run in Windows.
Included with DISKLIST Version 3.0 is a DISKLIST Icon and a
DISKLIST.PIF file for use with Windows 3.1.
Major Enhancements to DISKLIST Since Version 2.50
1) DISKLIST can create a Disk Catalog,
2) List only the files in a specific subdirectory,
3) The ability to run DISKLIST without any display, unless
DISKLIST has to report an error. Consequently, it can also
be run from a batch file.
4) Finely adjust the left margin when printing on Avery labels.
5) Set the last drive letter - allows DISKLIST to run on a LAN.
6) Automatically read a title line from a disk.
7) Print multiple lines of text from a file
8) Deselect all DISKLIST data including file directory data.
9) A new output device option is Ink Jet Printer.

Major Enhancements to DISKLIST Version 2.50 Since Version 2.10
DISKLIST prints on Avery Laser Label Sheets #5196 and #5197.
These labels fit 3½ and 5¼ diskettes. You can select which
position on the Avery sheet to print on, mark positions as not to
use, request that multiple copies of labels be printed.
DISKLIST will print on plain paper, not Tyvek, disk sleeves on
laser printers that support HP PCL5 commands. PCL5 first came
out on LJ III printers and is now supported by other brands.
DISKLIST uses a PCL5 command to print upside down.
Six formats have been added, all for 8½ x 11 format. This gives
a better selection of information desired and puts up to 6 times
more file names on one page.
Printer ports can be switched from LPT1: to LPT2: to LPT3: from
the control window.
The configuration menu has been expanded for you to customize
your output better. You may print the time and date on the top,
bottom (as is done now), or not at all. The line with total
Space and Bytes may be omitted. These options give you more
lines on the output for file names.
You may elect to skip lines after a certain number of lines have
been printed on a label. This is to prevent printing on the
blank space between gummed labels.
DISKLIST now works with LHA ver 2.10. Before it worked with ver
1.13c.
Some other DISKLIST features that were in previous versions are:
It is extensively adapted to printing on laser printers. A
complete set of laser commands are supplied and can be edited for
each format. DISKLIST can download user soft fonts.
It has 39 formats that print from one to six columns of file
names with options to include date, time and file size. It can
print a border around a list to be cut out, or omit the border
for stick on labels.
It can list the files inside of ZIP, ARC, PAK, LHZ, and ZOO.
There are nine date formats to choose from for the file dates.
It can print on a clever diskflap for 3.5" diskettes.
Construction of a diskflap is described in the documentation
under the heading DISKFLAP.
